Rude Oil to set Hell on Fire
Originally
I wanted to write about how it might feel to be inside the mind of George W.
Bush while he is still in office…
But no peace for the wicked – it’s oil once more and so much more important too.
I like to invite you again to think differently briefly.
Here’s the story:
GAZPROM, the Russion Energy Biggie that added former German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder to the company’s collection of empty tins warned the world that by this time next year a barrel of oil could cost $250 following a neat opinion from the Western Countries Energy [Read more]

Food for Thought vs Pound of Flesh
Tectonic
shifts in prices for food especially due to the demand for more meat are putting
tremendous pressure on budgets around the globe. We in the the developed
countries are moaning as it hits us in tandem with surging prices for oil, gas
etc..
But we are the ones who may still make do somehow and economise in other areas of our rather cushioned lives.
Millions and millions of people in the developing world cannot economise any further but simply starve.
Not only the stupid idea to use food for fuel is the reason but especially [Read more]

Unholy Oil Is Soaring
Arjun N.
Murti of (currently) Goldman Sachs told those who cared to listen about three
weeks ago that he can see the oil price going towards 200US$ within the coming
two years.
Said it and kick started a purely speculative craze on the markets who fell for it like ninepins. Even long term contracts went like hot cakes.
This is speculation at it’s worst and more than a fatal self fulfilling prophecy.
Surely completely unsolicited was Mr Murti’s Goldmann Sachs colleague Jeffrey
Currie to assure us:
“This industry is experiencing severe long-term [Read

Myanmar – Lessons in Humanity
Yes! We
all want to help the cyclone victims.
But not all are covering themselves in glory.
The tragic scene left by cyclone Nargis has turned from human catastrophie to also a giant stage for all, sundry and their uncle to open their gobs in order to seek more PR profile or simply sin against humanity.
Enter Myanmar military junta.
In my book a bunch of degenerate criminals for intentionally failing to give or seek the international help and turning down a rescue team from Quatar.
Junta newspaper Myanma Ahlin : “Myanmar is not in a position to receive [Read more]

A MIZPAH for Gordon Brown
If you
want to be loved – be lovable.
If you want to be loved AND you are charmingly good looking
- be an actor
or Tony Blair.
But if you want to be loved as a decent and well
meaning human being
-
do not be a politician nowadays, Mr Brown.
Grown up with high ideas and the genuine wish to
change peoples lives for
the better, re-distribute
wealth and make Britain a stable country he
clashes
with the modern ways of doing politics.
Sentiments and heartfelt wishes of a very probably rather
bonafide
man.
While waiting in the wings for [Read more]

China through the MIZPAH-scope
Imagine looking
through a giant lense that enables us to see all that matters on this
planet at once and in connection.
The MIZPAH-scope.
Focus for starters on one swelling mountain of outrage:
Thar she blows – the China versus Tibet affair: We all love condemning China for what they are doing to the good Tibetans and their spiritual leader the better Dalai Lama. China is rightly in the old doghouse and don’t they deserve it to be there especially in view of ”our” upcoming Olympic Games?
How can they dare to apply force where and whenever they see fit?
How can they bring themselves to behave like any other super power has, does and will do?
Just like the Romans or the USA or even the moral highgrounders of Europe?
Why does China do what she does without blushing and excuses?
Whether we like it or no – they do it because they can. And they can [Read more]

Recession? What Recession???
Recession,
recession, recession…last year not too many of those pundits wanted to believe
in it and dodged the mere term by using the old chestnut ” that R – word “.
Now they are all over us and their vortex of bad news is having a rather unfair share on our global economic village.
It was meant to get rocky esp. for the US but you can talk a serious situation into total disaster by merely quacking how dreadful all is.
That is so in economics, politics and simply all aspects of life.
Like telling a person with a painful condition that he or she looks really
unattractive whilst aching.
All things are bound to go up as well as down.
Circles can be long and short. Change is the only constant thing in life. Need

When we are up there self-drunk tip-toeing on high risk we rarely say “how lovely to be in this elevated place” but you can be damn sure that we start [Read more]

Semantic Web – Love it or…
Tim Berners Lee – the father of the internet – talked to The Times
about the possibilities of the “web of the future”.
He suggests, that soon we
shall be able to run and share virtual offices, bookkeeping departments if
not a major part of our daily existence on the web.
The name of the
game is semantic web – super communication without boundaries and all of
that mega linked and connected so the technical limits of the sky are shrinking
as the options rise like Jack’s bean stalk. So the reigning fad of social
networking sites MySpace, Facebook etc. will be paled to the T sooner rather
than later?
Yet who or what is to take part of the semantic
web?
Well, apparently very likely not Google.
Anyone tell them
yet?
Because there will be [Read

bada-BIM, bada-BO
Some
parts of the world have reason to be believe to be ever so shocked since it was
made public that two guys from London / England started a game website for “baby
bimbos”.
And I am not going to place a link here or mention their
sh*t any further.
But let us dwell a bit on the reaction to the
sh*t.
The roof hitting complaints about this tasteless idea gives
these two geeks great free PR when all and sundry are indulging in their disgust
and moral outrage.
Them geeks love ever little bit of it, the more the
merrier.
Why do they do it? Because [Read more]

Prayer to enlighten the Pope
Good Friday 2008 and Pope Benedict has nothing better to do than live
out his backward sentiments to pray for the Jews to be enlightened and to
convert to Christianity.
Well, I told you that he is the ultimate hardliner
dressed as lamb.
But scusi, what day and age do we or rather does this fine
example of chief missionary live in?
And why does he still insist that they
convert?
Because they have been in there first by introducing the very
religious and moral bedrock any Christian church has been built and is slowly
but surely swaying on.
And the Holy See can’t stand it, that’s why. [Read
