Hope is Golden

Hope is light!
Misery like dragging lead.
So destructive.
And so bad.

I want hope and light and both golden please.

Clearly I have enough.
After at least 12 months of bland denial and neglect of duties by those who have known all along we are now hyped almost systematically into even more worries?
The scaremongering is as bad as the denial.

We are all in it and the only way to go is forward and that’s what I am doing.
We have to somehow plod our way through with a smile as best as we can and where possible double our efforts to make a difference and make things better.
The so called civilized world mustn’t grumble.

I for one refuse to grumble about the economy no more.
Why not?
Here just three bleeding obvious reasons:
Because I am not in the middle of a humanitarian disaster in the Congo.
Because I’ve didn’t just live through an earthquake in Pakistan.
Because I did not lose my family in a terrible shooting.
That’s why I refuse to grumble and get on.

I hereby declare the downturn to be over.
I hereby say that we shall not slide into a great depression.
I hereby ask you all to stay as positive as possible and not to ruin the upcoming holidays.
Giving gifts is such a wonderful thing and for the best all round.
Small is beautiful.
