Designed by Helena Lind, THE MIZPAH
COLLECTION is exclusively manufactured for her using traditional fabrication methods.
The majority of the pieces are lovingly handcrafted by a venerable, family-operated jewelry company in Birmingham, England. Here, MIZPAH jewelry has been crafted since the nineteenth century.
Today, those antique pieces are sought-after by collectors from around the globe.
Helena Lind's MIZPAH
COLLECTION is not a short-lived assortment of mass-produced items; but rather, a line of inspirational jewelry, to which the emphasis is directly placed on beauty, quality, and individuality. Such stirring pieces of jewelry are destined to become heirlooms.
So detailed is the work on the pieces in the Collection, that Helena calls them, "tactile jewels", for the embossed and filigreed chasing of the meaningful ivy twines and words, can be felt with the hand.
Helena chose, for the first version of the original MIZPAH pendant, the motif, "The Shining Star" – her shining star – bearing profound significance in her moving song,
"The Feeling of MIZPAH."
The shining symbol of hope and love (H*L) is thusly passed on to you.
In addition, this MIZPAH design allows room for a dedication, which every quality jeweler will be happy to engrave for you. The traditional biblical message of MIZPAH, too, is of appealing beauty in the historical English wording.
We are so blessed to live in a time where we can learn of world events at a moment's notice, and say "Hello" to a loved one who lives thousands of miles away. Yet, through this maze of technology; we have lost sight of life's balance of work and family values, and caring for our fellow man.
The MIZPAH benediction turned into a much loved tradition of giving each other and the world a positive sign.
MIZPAH - like ivy - is an image of hope. This message, devoid of any ideological restraints, gives many people – all over the world – a sense of unity, serving as an emotional countermovement to the hardships of everyday life.
In our age of technical coldness; the world craves for the harmony and warmth of MIZPAH.
This symbolic power – many millennia old – introduces to life a wonderful feeling of trust. It is not without a reason that the MIZPAH inscription, engraved on Helena's collection, points upward.
At last, we can return to this magical tradition, as a gift for our own soul, and for the hearts of those who are dear to us.
