Myanmar – Lessons in Humanity

Yes! We all want to help the cyclone victims.
But not all are covering themselves in glory.
The tragic scene left by cyclone Nargis has turned from human catastrophie to also a giant stage for all, sundry and their uncle to open their gobs in order to seek more PR profile or simply sin against humanity.
Enter Myanmar military junta.
In my book a bunch of degenerate criminals for intentionally failing to give or seek the international help and turning down a rescue team from Quatar.
Junta newspaper Myanma Ahlin : “Myanmar is not in a position to receive rescue and information teams from foreign countries at the moment, but at present Myanmar is giving priority to receiving relief aid and distributing them to the storm hit regions with its own resources.”
Of course! I can see the desperately needed aid for the victims trickle nicely into governmental channels of the rifest corruption nourished contempt for the sufferings of the fellow man. And they are scared that the “foreign influx” might sour the upcoming referendum re. an army-drafted constitution on Saturday.
The junta is also very probably already creating nifty concepts how to let the international community pay extra through the nose in order to be allowed to help the cyclone victims.
but now to Al Gore’s absolutely superfluous conjecture of linking the cyclone to his global warming bandwagon.
Someone please put a big sock in his gob.
Using a human tragedy to promote scientifically unproven theories is really shabby.
Not too many year ago God(s) would have been made responsible for the cyclone.
Is global warming the new idea of a universal principle to issue wrath on this planet?
Made by man though, thereby confirming man’s triumph over the eternal and divine?
Myanmar is a paradigm for humanity.
And a sad one if you ask me.
