Stop the Gloom – Go Boom!

Do not get too comfortable in this doom and gloom scenario. Anyway do
not take pleasure by making things worse than they are raving in bad news from
banks and markets as that pleasure might be short and not what you want at the
end of the day.
And there is another old adage:
“whence down in
the valley all around ye is pointing uphill”… Or so…
This valley of
subprime crisis, credit crunch, banks faltering and squeezed customers failing
their payments is not going to be perpetual.
We tend to forget that all is an
eternal cycle of change. When we’re up there we think
there is no horizon and the sky ain’t high enough to pose a
limit.
When we’re down in them old dumps all is so sad, bad and
gloomy and hope is abandoned far too quickly in favour of painting a grey
scenario pitch black.
Both attitudes are only too human but both attitudes
are only too wrong.
All is going in circles, our planet spins
instead of moving linear.
So are events, history, life.
Soon
there will be the time to buy stocks.
Because they are dirt cheap and will
again generate good value in good time.
Where if not in stocks will investors
put their money?
Having to do so because the stuff’s gotta go
somewhere.
Think of all those pension funds alone.
And the end of the Bush
era.
Prices are rising and profit margins are falling right
now.
Macro economics are deteriorating internationally.
But they have done
that before.
Time and time again.
We are in a valley.
But
there is no eternal gloom.
The swell goes up and down.
The mountains
around us show us where to aim at.
I can see us going towards the
hugestest boom ever. The light at the end of this maybe rather elongated tunnel
is very big and very bright.
There will be wholesome harmonisation between
the all too fast growing states like China and India and the old economies US
and Europe. By chance there will be healthier growth.
And perhaps a
few of us might have learnt something from the current crisis?
As
the well respected philosopher Yazz once said: The Only Way Is Up, Baby!
Not
referring to inflation.
Change is in the air.
Mark my
word.
