How about a torrential flood or something of the sort on Goldman Sachs?

Kraft are breaking their word so I am witholding my custom from now on. I wonder when I will have to give up Cadbury Fruit & Nut for the same deplorable reason?

the great want for some clarity

What will happen? Let me see
with business and money dear
a murky craft – economy
recovery? Please let me hear!

A naughty decade came to end
of credit fuelled prosperity
now it is time to fight and fend
a long stretch of austerity?

Much dreaded lies and even more created lies?
deep quagmires of subterfuge?
and everything we should despise
as cupboard skelettons are huge?

Alas, the wrong sort kind of guys
will sneeringly fly high again
whereas the decent are hit twice
by hardship and inequality

Fine art to cook books and statistics well
deceit to thrive and rule by fear
I wish there was a cast to spell
to burst this boil with a sharp spear

Injustice blossoms in this clime
and bleak greets lack of opportunity
though tills are ringing with a chime
for speculants’ dishonesty

The greenback tries to be the king
go up and down whilst settling low
an institute, teared limb from limb
and sold of cheap, an end to woe?

The Land of Liberty will hope and fight
disparity – dichotomy
with one hand reaching for the light
the other clenched to tragedy

Persia might incinerate
through freakish handling, stupid pride
and Middle Kingdom contemplates
in Tsun Tzu style to get things right

Europa, Albion and the rest?
A lot is lost before regained
great challenges put to the test
that prescribed unity ordained

What is the best way forward now?
give guidance, Mizpah prophecy
to those who seek, so please endow
us with elation from Eternity

Be unafraid and lift thy brow
just walk on with integrity
and be aware, no matter what or how
that Someone always watches over thee

Remind me again, what are politicians actually good for?

Courtesy of the same old breed of unscrupulous, arrogant and greedy jackasses.
Why are we letting them get away with it?
Because even our governments are blinded by the same fooling light. We live in the information age but many of us are increasingly retreating into our own bubble of ignorance.
My grandmother used to say: not knowing is no sin, but refusing to know is.
Not wanting to know is one of those sins even I believe to be deeply reprehensible. It enabled the Inquisition as well as the Holocaust.
It is the world’s great divider.
Do not shut yourself up in the bubble of ignorance.
It’ll burst as painfully as all the other ones.
