Another Meaning of MIZPAH

A magical lamp keeping the blue flame of hope alive eternally.

And a shining light in the windows of our hearts for all those we love and miss.

Winged Equilibrium

Almighty queen, by whom the deeds of mortal life are seen.
Eternal, much rever’d, of boundless sight, alone rejoicing in the just and right.
Changing the counsels of the human breast for ever various, rolling without rest.
To every mortal is thy influence known, and men beneath thy righteous bondage groan.
For ev’ry thought within the mind conceal’d is to thy sight perspicuously reveal’d.
The soul unwilling reason to obey by lawless passion rul’d, thy eyes survey.
All to see, hear, and rule,
O pow’r divine whose nature Equity contains, is thine.
Come, Blessed, Holy, hear my pray’r, and make thy mystic’s life, thy constant care.
Give aid benignant in the needful hour,
and strength abundant to the reas’ning pow’r.
And far avert the dire, unfriendly race of counsels impious, arrogant, and base.

Feast your soul

and appreciate both the tranquility and the beauty.
A tiny holiday for the mind and reminder that even though life can be very difficult at times, there will always be moments like this:

Springtime now!

God’s Work Excels

The American bank or perhaps these days rather more hedge fund Goldman Sachs (claimed to be doing God’s work by chief Lloyd Blankfein in 2009) helped to massage the Excel sheet parameters of failing EU member state Greece’s statistics to cover up Athen’s mess, as done before on GS’s Italian job in 1996.  Anything for a fee eh?
God’s work – NOT.
How about a torrential flood or something of the sort on Goldman Sachs?
Pretty please with sugar on top?

Kraft closing Cadbury Factory in Keynsham

It’s official now: I won’t be buying CurlyWurly and Crunchie anymore!

Kraft are breaking their word so I am witholding my custom from now on. I wonder when I will have to give up Cadbury Fruit & Nut for the same deplorable reason?

Guess what…

We cannot even begin to imagine what it means to be there now and whilst counting our blessings we’d better donate generously.
