Scientists kill off cancer stem cells for the first time
They were thought to be more or less invincible and resistant to any known treatment, but a way has been found to terminate cancer stem cells. Piyush Gupta, researcher at the Broad Institute in Boston, Massachusetts: “We’ve shown it can be done.”
Even if it may take many years before Salinomycin could be widely available – this is a great ray of hope and a real Mizpah moment.

A compound has been discovered that targets specific master cells that aid in the proliferation of breast cancer cells. Salinomycin outperformed other drugs by being hundred times more effective at destroying the cells in a test tube.
